The new jailbreak was a huge his getting over 800,000 downloads within the first 6 hours. People use the jailbreaks to get past the security restrictions on the phone to give you more freedom. The way people use it reminds me of a lot of things people do nowadays to get past things and use loopholes to their advantage. In the automotive industry, new EPA regulations require a catalytic converter on your car to prevent pollution but people strip the catalytic converter to give them added power and better gas mileage.
