evasi0n jailbreak

iOS 6 jailbreak released by evasi0n

On Monday, evasi0n released the jailbreak for apples iOS 6 software which includes the iphone 5, ipad mini, and any other devices that have been updated recently. The new jailbreak was a huge his getting over 800,000 downloads within the first 6 hours. People use the jailbreaks to get past the security restrictions on the phone to give you more freedom. The way people use it reminds me of a lot of things people do nowadays to get past things and use loopholes to their advantage. In the automotive industry, new EPA regulations require a catalytic converter on your car to prevent pollution but people strip the catalytic converter to give them added power and better gas mileage. In the article I read, Jayson Wong, an evasi0n worker tells cnet, “Once you get into the kernel, no security matters anymore.” "Then we win." And I think this is the same attitude a lot of people have when it comes to getting past regulations and benefiting their selves.
